Title: After Dinner Cravings

Hi. I am a fitness freak, work out regularly.DOn't eat meat or pork. And i maintain healthy eating habits throughout the day. But after dinner, I do get tempted to binge, or sometimes have this urge to eat anything. I feel like eating in the eve, especially after dinner. I have somewhat gotten over the night binges (because of the weight gain). But I am still into eating something after dinner.
I just need some help or tips on how to avoid eating in the eve. Or if you have any suggestions on what I can 'safely' eat in the eve, without sacrificing all the exercise i do each day. I find it hard to prevent having a snack at night because I study and to be awake, I have to eat.
So please... help me! I feel all the exercise i do are useless.
Thanks!!!!

I eat 5 minutes before I goto sleep. There is nothing wrong with eatting at night, just limit calories because we are generally less active in the evening. Also, avoid eatting too many carbs before you goto sleep.

Hi, I had a similar problem, but I got over it (most days, at least). If you know you'll need something to eat, just plan another light meal after dinner. Also make sure, that you have enough carbohydrates for dinner, they make you feel fed for a longer time - and drink enough.
Do you get a craving for something sweet? Try it with fruits, e.g. an apple or something like this and a glass of water. Some bread is also o.k., but mind, not with something fatty like butter, cheese or ham on top of it! And most certainly, your exercises are not for nothing, regardless what else happens!!!

Try eating fibrous carbohydrates, otherwise known as the dreaded vegetables! :) They are higher in fibre which will keep you feeling full longer. Avoid starchy carbs and sugar as these start a circle of cravings. Try a protein shake that is low in carbs and fat. Last but not least when the commercials switch to Burger King etc... switch the station. John Hopkins University released a new study that proves a direct correlation between T.V. and weight gain thanks to inactivity and food commercials.
